Five projects funded under the call HORIZON-HLTH-2023-ENVHLTH-02-01 “Planetary health: understanding the links between environmental degradation and health impacts” collectively form the new Planetary Health cluster. Planetary health is a solutions oriented, multi-dimensional health approach focused on analysing and addressing the impacts of human disruptions to Earth's natural systems on human health and all life on Earth.
The cluster, launched on July 2nd 2024, comprises GoGreen Next, SPRINGS, TULIP, MOSAIC and PLANET4HEALTH. These projects will work collectively through joint deliverables, co-hosted events and a shared strategy to promote evidence-based policy to support global planetary health.
Cluster Activity H-02-01 “Planetary health: understanding the links between environmental degradation and health impacts”, are the Horizon Europe projects GO GREEN NEXT (Grant ID: 101137209), MOSAIC (Grant ID: 101137398), PLANET4HEALTH (Grant ID: 101136652), SPRINGS (Grant ID: 101137255) and TULIP (Grant ID: 101136659).
The cluster will help optimise synergies, avoid overlaps and increase the impact of the projects, Common cluster activities include the following:
A kick-off meeting of the cluster was hosted in Brussels by GoGreen Next in cooperation with DG R&I and the sister projects on July, 3rd, 2024.
Annual Cluster meetings and periodic reports of joint activities will be delivered at each reporting period.
Common cluster activities include a common dissemination and communication strategy for the cluster, cluster web portal and visual identity, cluster brochure, and cluster newsletters. Common Data Management Plans, Policy Strategy of the cluster, including joint policy briefs and Scientific strategy of the cluster are among the additional outputs. The penholder and project responsible for each joint deliverable was decided previously in the document setting out the Modalities for Implementation of the Cluster.
Thematic workshops/trainings on issues of common interest will be defined in the context of the scientific strategy of the cluster and held periodically.
